The Government Issue M1911A1 .45ACP Pistol
I inherited my grandfather's M1911A1 hand gun that he had with him while flying over Europe in World War II. I couldn't help but make a wooden replica of this prized heirloom!
We no longer sell the M1911A1 display, but please feel free to enjoy our galley of pictures and videos showing it function! Our first 1911 with the case took about 650 hours to develop and make. It takes over one hundred individual pieces of wood to craft a display. All displays are unique and serialized. Most of our display replicas are made from a combination of Black Cherry, Black Walnut and Hard Maple and mostly select or highly figured cuts of wood.
